Dulce Cruz

Dulce is a master-level clinician specializing in working with children, adolescents, and their families. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University. With extensive experience in early childhood learning, Dulce focuses on promoting strong child outcomes in social and emotional development. She is dedicated to providing a compassionate, non-judgmental, and safe therapeutic environment, emphasizing autonomy and fostering growth. Dulce is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also utilizes play therapy techniques to enhance communication and facilitate healing.
Jessica Markus
LMSW-T
Jessica received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Jessica has worked in the field since 2017, with experience in behavioral health, domestic violence, and school counseling. Jessica’s areas of focus include supporting children and teens experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as those who have experienced trauma.
Jessica believes that her therapeutic approach should meet the needs of the individual and incorporate their strengths. Jessica recognizes that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor to inspire change, and aims to create a safe, non-judgmental space by emphasizing empathy and validation.
Jessica utilizes cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and play therapy techniques in sessions. Jessica acknowledges the importance of working with the family system to support the client in reaching their goals.
Misty Romney
LPC
Misty Romney LAC, received her Master of Science in Professional Counseling through Grand Canyon University. Upon completion of her Master’s degree, Misty was trained in trauma and has obtained a certificate as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for individuals (CCTS-I). Misty’s areas of focus include working with children, adolescents, and adults who experience anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and various types of trauma.
As a compassionate person, Misty makes it a priority to listen, understand, and empathize with clients. She is dedicated to helping others recognize and develop their full potential by incorporating a motivational approach that instills hope as well as inspires personal exploration and growth. Her primary objective is to provide clients with skills and techniques that can be applied in everyday life. She respects and values the immense worth of each individual, acknowledging their strengths and capabilities that help them reach their goals.
Shannon Wrobel

Charley Walker
MSW
Charley specializes in working with youth, ages five to eighteen, and their families. Charley holds extensive knowledge in elementary school age counseling and social-emotional learning curricula, as well as working with children that have serious emotional disturbance diagnosis. Charley‘s areas of focus include supporting youth with their self-identity and self-discovery as well as management of their mental health symptoms and individualized needs. Charley works to promote a safe and inclusive therapeutic space by building strong foundational relationships with each of her families and offering genuine empathetic connection and support to each of her clients. Charley‘s versatility and interpersonal communication skills help to foster accountable transparent therapeutic relationships and create direction for effective wrap-around services.
Charley holds training in child centered play-therapy, trauma-systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. In her free-time, Charley enjoys traveling with her family learning new cultures and countries, continuing her education in nonprofit leadership and management, and watching football or true-crime documentaries.
Vanessa Roush

Vanessa is a dedicated therapy intern currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Since 2016, she has been immersed in the behavioral health field, gaining extensive experience working with adolescents, their families, and adults across various settings. Her professional background includes specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, with a particular focus on individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Through this work, Vanessa has developed a deep understanding of behavior modification techniques and how to apply them compassionately and effectively.
Vanessa is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. She believes that building trust is the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work, and she strives to meet each client where they are emotionally and developmentally. Vanessa has a natural talent for working with adolescents and enjoys incorporating creative and engaging techniques—such as games and art-based activities—into sessions. These tools help young clients feel more comfortable, see therapy as a positive experience, and build strong rapport over time. In addition to her clinical training, Vanessa brings valuable experience from her previous role as a case manager. This background allows her to approach therapy with a holistic perspective, considering each client’s broader life context and collaborating with families, schools, and support systems to ensure comprehensive care. Outside of her clinical work, Vanessa enjoys reading, spending time in nature, going camping, and ice skating. She values balance in life and believes in the importance of self-care and joy—principles she also encourages her clients to embrace.
